Cubs Develop new skills. Soar to great heights. Being a Cub opens up a whole other world. Cubs is for all young people aged 8 to 10½. We meet at Chew Stoke Church Hall on Wednesdays during term-time from 18:15 – 19:30. What Do Cubs Get Up To? Being a Cub is all about growing and learning in small but mighty ways. Prepare for excitement and adventure! Try huge variety of activities surrounding areas of fitness, global and beliefs; be creative and get involved in your local community. Learn exciting outdoor skills and take part in adventurous activities, as well as camps and residential experiences. Recent activities include: Nature trail Bridge building Wide games (capture the flag etc) Map reading Knot tying Archery Caving Axe Throwing Uniform Cub uniform consists of a green sweatshirt with your badges sewn on. How To Join We operate a waiting list system for our Cub Pack, with priority given primarily to children of our volunteers, and then to Beavers who are moving up. To add your young person to the waiting list, please contact us, including your young person’s name and date of birth. We always welcome more volunteers – as a volunteer leader or committee member your young person gets a priority place as spaces become available.
